Maria “Carmela” Magtoto is a board-certified family medicine provider. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical field. Carmela believes good care starts with listening and kindness. She takes time to understand her patients and help them feel comfortable.

Carmela joined the Culinary Health Center because she shares our commitment to keeping patients and families healthy. She values teamwork and believes that working together helps provide better care for all patients. She loves teaching her patients about their health and including them in decisions about their care plan. Before joining our team, Carmela worked in primary care and addiction medicine.

In her free time, Carmela enjoys spending time with her family and watching K-dramas. These activities help her recharge, so she can return to her patients with focus, patience, and compassion.
